Walking into Club HepCat is like entering another world, a place you didn’t know still existed. You are back in the Juke joint like a movie set in the 1930s and the crowd is all with you. Hard, Thrillin’ and Swingin’!

The evenings takes off with dinner and a brief crash courses in Lindy Hop and Blues dance so you can enjoy the music on as well as off the dance floor BUT you are just as welcome to just hang out.

We don’t have a dress code, but feel free to wear your cocktail dress, suit, shirt or mesh vest and steal your (great) grandfather’s old hat and suspenders. Think 20s-40s style.

As always you are very welcome regardless of outfit, age, membership, dance ability, with or without a partner and if you are a student or not.

• The Blues dance class and blues dance is in T-gången, the smaller side room to “Klubblokalen”

Price & discounts

• SEK 80 for pre-booked and online paid entry.
• SEK 20 discount for HepCat members is automatically deducted from the above price.
• 20kr additional discount for students (ST), youth or the unemployed (AR) that sign up in advance.
• 99kr drop-in without registration and pay Swish on site regardless of membership and age.
• 0kr for those who sign-up as volunteer and help out during the evening.

Club Hepcat vs HepCat Store?

Club HepCat is the original swing club run by HepTown where we had a merchandise table with hats, music and magazines. The Club and that table moved from Stortorget to Palladium to Mejeriet with many stops in Malmö, Copenhagen and Gothenburg. Smålands Nation…

…is a student nation that is very open to every one regardless if you are a student or not. Everyone gets student friendly prices on food and drinks and they help us keep the entry fee very low. Klubblokalen is not a ballroom, it’s a night club that throws you back to the early years of Club HepCat when it was an underground club in a basement below Herkules and Stortorget…

LINDY HOP

Lindy Hop is an African American street swing jazz dance. It evolved from many other dances in the late 1920s and early 1930s in Harlem, New York.
It is a partner dance usually done to swing jazz music and it is one of the most improvisational, fun and expressive partner dances around.
