Or Mys Blues Malmö as the blues crew call it… A small and cozy event in one of those hidden underground places in Malmö. There will be late night blues parties Friday and Saturday, classes Saturday and Sunday starting no earlier than noon, affordable meals, free sleepover space and lots of room to just hang-out and get to know each other…

Levels

• 1.Beginners – intermediate. For beginners that what to learn the fundamentals of blues dancing and intermediate dancers that want to get better at it,
• 2 Intermediate – advanced. For intermediate blues dancers that want to be challenged to advanced blues dancers that see the benefits of dancing with dancers on different levels.

Preliminary schedule

There will also be music and board-games in the kitchen all weekend to keep you occupied when you’re not busy with classes.

Like Swing dance, Blues dance originated and evolved from African rhythms and movements. However, Blues dancing was historically never widely practiced as a “social” or performance dance in the United States outside of the Black communities; so it developed and thrived in smoky juke joints and at Blues house parties and rent parties, giving it a more intimate feel…
