GORDON WEBSTER SWING ORCHESTRA
Pianist Gordon Webster is one of the most sought after musicians in the Lindy Hop world. His tremendous musicianship and passion, supported by his first-hand knowledge of social dancing, have inspired Lindy Hoppers at hundreds of dance events worldwide. Drawing on influences as diverse as Fats Waller, Count Basie, Oscar Peterson and Gene Harris, Webster serves up a smorgasbord of styles unified by one characteristic: irresistible danceability.
For these events he’s bringing his 8 piece swing orchestra to really show whats its all about.

MAN OF CONSTANT SORROW
är ett helt nytt band bildat av ett gäng kända Malmömusiker med rötterna i bluegrass-country-blues och soulscenen. Bandet ska framföra det härliga soundtracket från den populära Coen Brothers-filmen med bla George Clooney och John Goodman i huvudrollerna – nämligen ”O Brother Where Art Thou”. 17 fantastiska låtar från 30-talets amerikanska söder med hits som ”Man of Constant Sorrow”, ”In the Jailhouse Now”, ”Down to the River to Pray”, ”Hard Time Killing Floor Blues” och många fler. Showen är uppdelad på cirka två havltimmes-set med en liten paus emellan.

På ett till bristningsgränsen fullknökat Nya Tröls Bar & Restaurang, förflyttades vi till 30-talets Mississippi, när soundtracket till bröderna Coens kultfilm “O Brother where art thou” framfördes live, av nya, grymt tajta, konstellationen Man Of Constant Sorrow (Reggie Scott, Darren Ward, Johan Malmberg, Daniel Olsson, Dan Englund och Maria Stille). 1,5 timme fylld med bluegrass-, country-, gospel- och folkmusik, uppblandat med en och annan klassisk filmreplik, och en stor skopa humor. Ni som missade denna makalösa världspremiär, måste hålla ögon och öron öppna inför nästa tillfälle. Don’t miss it!
